Description of art: “Haybales” (from the “Pastorals” Series”) -Acrylic, sand, and gesso on hardboard; unframed. This part of Leigh Trifari’s landscape series inspired by her former home of New York State’s Hudson River Valley but can be equally at home here. This series introduced a new paint pigment called “Interference Colour”, where the surface reflects both its base colour and its complement simultaneously (in this case, the pink of the clouds).
