“Inspiration;- For years I have visited the Goth weekends held in Whitby, North Yorkshire & loved all the drama. I decided to do a series of Gothic paintings of all sizes & this is one of the smaller ones. A group of Crows is called a Murder of Crows, hence the title & the whalebones are actually at Whitby with St Marys Church & Abbey seen through the arch.”
